MDRS - Skydio X10D

The MDRS (Magnetic Dropper & Retention System) is a modular payload attachment designed for integration with compatible unmanned aerial systems, including platforms that utilise advanced obstacle avoidance capabilities, such as the Skydio X10/X10D. The MDRS provides a secure and controllable magnetic retention solution, enabling reliable payload carriage and release for defence, security, and professional operational environments.

The system incorporates an electro-permanent magnet delivering up to 25 kg (55lbs) operating holding strength, providing strong payload retention while maintaining low power consumption and high operational reliability. The electro-permanent magnet design enables the system to maintain holding force without continuous power, enhancing flight efficiency and ensuring payload security in the event of power interruption.
